Custom Grain Systems, LLC was formed in late 2006 by Tim Gartner out of concern for and demands from customers wanting commercial grain systems on the farm. It is our goal to improve our business and the business of our customers, and to do the same for our families, our customers' families, and our suppliers' families by the workmanship, safety and efficiencies by which we perform our services. His knowledge of farming and grain systems combine for a unique understanding of past, current and future needs. The basis for this knowledge come from growing up on a progressive farm in Lawrence County, IL. The decisions on this farm have always been driven by efficient and effective use of resources for maximum profitability with limited risk. To accomplish this goal requires carefully planned and knowledge based decision-making. Technology has been an integral part of the growth of every part of our farm. Technology properly applied and utilized increases the knowledge basis for decisions that affect all aspects of our farming operations. The grain system is central to the operation of the farm with these bases in mind
Tim understood from the beginning that to succeed would require a group of like-minded people. Our first employee's combined with Tim for about 50 years of experience. We started the process working together for another company many years ago. We added to the customer base and experience with the purchase of Musgrave Bin Company from Max Musgrave when the business started. Max has been in the bin business for over 30 years and his experience has been instrumental in our business reaching our long-range goals quickly. Max will continue to be part of our business as long as he desires. As our employee and equipment needs grow, we will continue to add people with high values and morals and teach them how to build grain systems based on our core beliefs.
